Robotic radical prostatectomy with extended pelvic lymph node dissection human fresh frozen cadaver course was completed with success on 5 August 2022 at RMK AIMES Surgical Training & Convention Center in Istanbul.
Prof.M.Derya Balbay, Prof.Yılmaz Aslan, Prof.Melih Balcı and Prof.A.Erdem Canda were the faculty for this course.
We had 2 participants per 1 cadever. They initially had hands-on training with Da Vinci robotic simulator. Video presentations were given by the course faculty.
Thereafter, hands-on training was given on human fresh frozen cadaver on how to perform robotic radical prostatectomy with extended pelvic lymph node dissection.
Initially, abdominal port sites were presented and the trainees instered abdominal ports.
Conmed Airseal low pressure insufflator was used for abdominal insufflation.
Trainees performed each step of the procedure proctored by the faculty.
Live robotic radical prostatectomy case was performed by Dr.Canda with 3D VR tumor navigation.
